Type: Part-time (20 hours/week)

Starting Date: August 2018

Mission for the Role: To provide an uplifting, friendly and clean environment to anyone that comes into contact with the business and to provide a superior customer experience. To create, maintain and encourage relationships with and between members, and to support team activities & projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer Care — Warmly greet all walk-ins (members, visitors, public). Be available to receive and respond to or relay customer care requests and feedback. Provide superior customer service and choose actions that align with core values.
  • Sales — Receive prospect inquiries, perform pre-qualifications, manage follow-ups, take care of trials and onboard new members.
  • Membership Management — Add, edit, upgrade and drop memberships as required, receive and process hold requests.
  • Attendance Monitoring — Track attendance, provide accountability and follow-up with members to ensure attendance stays above target.
  • Progress Tracking — Track promotions, review grading eligibility, manage registrations for gradings and provide clear communication with candidates.
  • Payments — Collect payments, manage automatic billing, ensure declined and outstanding payments are handled and kept to a minimum.
  • Communication – Communicate clearly and consistently with the team (both in person and via our project management tool Asana), attend and actively participate in regular meetings.
  • Retail Management — Drive & process retail sales and accurately manage inventory.
  • Administration — Answer phone, handle phone messages and emails immediately when possible or within 24 hours. Print and post posters, book appointments, birthday parties, and assist manager in various administrative duties.
  • Cleaning — Work with the team to ensure the facility is always clean and that all cleaning tasks are completed.
  • Ongoing Projects and Events — Assist the team in ongoing projects, help prepare and run events, and sometimes volunteer for community work.
